Approach pallet A
The monorail trolley brings the vacuum frame above the source stack. Pallet positions and travel limits inform the sequence.
A preliminary design study combining a monorail, electric chain hoist, vacuum lifting frame and PLC control for 1500 × 3000 mm sheet transfer between pallets.
The study began with controlled gripping, lifting and positioning of individual 1500 × 3000 mm sheets. Reduced sway, a safe operating area and production flow were design aims.
Monorail travel, chain hoist, vacuum lifting frame and PLC control were considered together. Sheet size and load capacity are separate inputs; final capacity requires engineering verification.
A 26 second animation shows approach, grip, lift, travel to pallet B, release and return.
This is a design animation, not footage of an operating or delivered system. Movement and layout are illustrative; final design requires engineering review.
The monorail trolley brings the vacuum frame above the source stack. Pallet positions and travel limits inform the sequence.
The hoist lowers the frame onto the sheet. Vacuum level, cup placement and single sheet pickup require verification.
After grip conditions are satisfied, the sheet is raised to a travel height. Sheet deflection and sway require evaluation.
The trolley travels along the monorail. Travel limits, personnel safety and unexpected stops are part of the control study.
The sheet is lowered onto the target pallet. Release follows confirmation that it rests securely.
The empty frame rises and returns to pallet A. PLC interlocks are envisaged between stages.
A later draft considered a 6 × 4 m grid, bolted modular frame and central monorail. A 300 kg net sheet load is a design input; total moving load and hoist capacity need separate review. Production approval is pending. Structural calculations, connections, anchors, vacuum gripping, controls and site conditions must be verified before fabrication.
